Pova 8 Pro

The Tecno Pova 8 Pro 5G is the higher Pova of this generation: a 6.78-inch 144 Hz AMOLED, a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate, and a 6500 mAh battery with 45 W charging. Tecno has already listed the phone globally. The reason it is in Coming soon on this site is the confirmed India on-sale date: 18 August 2026. India pricing had not been published when we wrote this page, so the price field is blank.

Pova is Tecno's battery-and-gaming line, not the Camon camera line. The 8 Pro adds an Alive Matrix rear display next to the camera — a small programmable panel, not a second phone screen — plus a flat metal frame and an orange accent button on the units Tecno has shown. Global colours are Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green.

The global sheet lists 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 13 MP front camera. HiOS 16 on Android 16 is the software. Ingress figures reported for the global unit include a high IP rating; we print IP66 / IP68 / IP69 / IP69K as Tecno has used for this model and will correct the India SKU if it differs.

45 W into 6500 mAh is slower to fill than a 70 W Note and larger than a typical 5000 mAh Camon. That is the Pova trade: more cell, fewer charging watts than the fastest Transsion phones. There is no 3.5 mm jack on the global listing we used.

India is the market we mark as coming soon. Other countries where Tecno already sells the 8 Pro are not listed as upcoming. If Tecno names Pakistan or the UAE later, we will add those rows. We will not guess them.

45 W is the supported peak. Whether India cartons include that brick is a seller question, not a number we will invent. The Alive Matrix rear panel is a notification and decoration surface. It is not a cover display in the Razr or Pixel Fold sense.

A fit if you want a large-battery Tecno in India in August 2026 and you already accept HiOS. Also a fit if the rear Alive Matrix display is the reason you opened the page.

A poor fit if you needed a Camon camera phone, a US carrier SKU, or a published India price today. Wait for the 18 August event if the rupee figure is the only number you came for. Also a poor fit if you wanted a compact phone — 6.78 inches is both hands.

Against the Tecno Camon 30 Premier on this site, the Pova is the battery and refresh-rate phone; the Camon is the older camera-led sibling. Different years, different jobs.

Against an Infinix Note of the same class, you are choosing XOS versus HiOS and which Transsion shop will honour a warranty in your city. Charging watts often favour the Note; cell size often favours the Pova.

Against a Redmi Note sold in India the same month, Xiaomi usually has a denser retail footprint. Tecno is betting on the rear display and the 6500 mAh cell to stand out.
