Realme

Realme began as a spin-off from Oppo aimed at younger, price-sensitive buyers in India, and grew into one of the fastest-expanding phone brands of the last several years. It remains in the same broad corporate family as Oppo, OnePlus, and Vivo, and it uses shared charging technology and platform engineering. Its strategy is consistent and easy to read on a spec sheet: put one or two headline numbers — usually charging wattage and refresh rate — well above what the price class normally offers, and economise on the parts that do not appear in a specification table.

The naming runs in three branches. The GT series is the performance flagship line, pairing current Snapdragon or Dimensity chips with very fast charging. The numbered series (Realme 13, 14 and so on) is the mid-range volume line, with Pro and Pro+ variants above it. The C series is entry-level. Numbers climb quickly because refresh cycles are short, so a generation gap at Realme is a smaller step than a generation gap at Apple or Samsung.

The economies are worth knowing before you compare. Value-focused phones commonly save money on the ultrawide and macro cameras — a 2 MP macro sensor is close to decorative — on display glass, on speaker quality, and on the length of the software update commitment. A phone with 120 W charging and a 2 MP macro camera is not a contradiction; it is a deliberate allocation of a fixed budget toward the number people compare.

Realme UI is the Android layer, closely related to Oppo's ColorOS. Update policies are shorter than flagship-brand policies and vary by market and by line. Regional variants are common and band support differs, so the model number matters more than the name.

When we add a Realme model you will see the same spec groups — display, chipset, memory, camera, battery, charging — used across the rest of the site, so comparisons stay honest. No Realme spec sheet is published yet, and this page is here so the brand is described in our own words rather than sitting empty. We do not sell Realme devices. A GT and a numbered Pro in the same year are different jobs; open the exact model page before you compare charging watts.

Charger-in-box policy varies by country the same way it does at Oppo. A 120 W figure is the supported peak, not a carton inventory. If the sheet leaves wireless charging blank, do not assume a coil is inside. Band lists also differ between India and Europe SKUs of the same marketing name; match the model number before you import. A GT and a numbered Pro in the same year are different jobs.
