Asus splits phones two ways. Zenfone is the everyday flagship, often a large slab with a headphone jack long after rivals dropped it. ROG Phone is the gaming line: extra triggers, a bigger battery, and cooling that exists to hold a high frame rate. A Zenfone Ultra and a ROG Phone in the same season share a chipset family more often than they share a camera philosophy.
On a spec sheet Asus competes on RAM ceiling, refresh rate, and charging watts. Software is a near-stock Android skin with Asus extras. Update commitments are shorter than Samsung's S-series. ROG models can be loud in the box — a plastic aero case, a charger, sometimes a cooler. We list the phone, not the bundle, unless the charger-in-box policy is part of the announced spec.
Availability is patchy. Some Zenfones are Europe and Asia only. ROG Phones show up in more gaming stores and still miss some US prepaid lists. Importing a ROG for the triggers means you also import the band set.
Asus has narrowed its phone range in some years. We only add a Zenfone or ROG after Asus has announced it. AllMobileSpecs is not affiliated with Asus and does not sell these phones. Indicative USD prices only. A 3.5 mm jack on a 2025 or 2026 Zenfone is intentional. So is a high RAM ceiling on a ROG Phone. Neither makes the other line's camera equal.
ROG software includes extra performance modes that raise clocks and fans. Those modes shorten battery life. We list battery capacity as announced, not as a gaming-session endurance number we have not measured.
If Asus pauses a line, we stop adding new Zenfone or ROG pages rather than filling the gap with rumours. Existing sheets stay up as historical reference.

Accessory bundles are part of how ROG is sold. A cooler, a case, or an extra charger in one region's carton is not a global spec. We list the phone. If Asus published a charger-in-box rule for that SKU, it belongs in the charging row; otherwise the field stays about supported watts.
