Huawei
Huawei makes phones, networking gear, and laptops. After US trade restrictions it split its phone software from Google's Android services in many markets. HarmonyOS on a China unit is not the same store as a global EMUI build that still includes Google Play — when Huawei still ships one. Always read the OS line before you assume an app will install.
The names map to jobs. Pura (formerly P) is the camera-led thin flagship. Mate is the larger productivity phone, and Mate XT or X is the folding experiment. nova is the mid-range volume line. Pocket is the clamshell. A Pura Ultra and a Mate Pro in the same year are not interchangeable sheets.
On paper Huawei still puts large batteries and fast charging on flagships. The practical gap is software and bands. A China Pura may lack the Play Store. A grey import into the US or Europe may lack the LTE/5G bands your carrier uses. We list hardware as announced and we do not invent a Google-services promise.
Huawei is not Honor. They share history. They do not share app stores, update calendars, or repair counters today. Treating a Huawei sheet as a Honor sheet will send you to the wrong shop.
Availability is uneven. Some models stay in China for months. Some get a later global SKU with a different camera or a different OS. We publish a Huawei page only after the company has announced the model, and we name only the markets Huawei named.

Satellite and UWB features, when listed, are market-dependent; a China Mate is not automatically a European emergency-SOS phone. We leave those fields blank when Huawei did not publish them for the SKU we list.
Charging watts on a Pura or Mate are the supported peak with a matching brick. Carton contents in China often include that brick; a later export SKU may not. Confirm with the seller. Folding Huawei phones are a separate repair class — budget for a specialist shop.
We do not list unannounced Mate or Pura rumours. If only a China event has happened, the country list on that page is China until Huawei names another market.
Satellite messaging, UWB, and infrared on a Mate or Pura are market-dependent extras. We print them only when Huawei named them for the SKU on the page. A China-only satellite feature is not a European emergency-SOS promise. The same applies to HarmonyOS app availability: we describe the OS line, we do not inventory every sideload workaround.
