Robot Phone

The Honor Robot Phone is a China-launch flagship announced in Guangzhou on 12 August 2026. Honor's own release says pre-orders opened that evening and open sales start at 10:08 on 18 August 2026 in Honor's China store, authorised marketplaces, and Honor stores. No global on-sale date has been published. We list China only.

The name is literal. A four-degree-of-freedom titanium gimbal sits on the back and moves a 200 MP main camera. Honor published 9.59 mm thickness and 248 g for the body. That is a slab with a motorised camera, not a foldable and not a Magic-series rename. If you wanted a conventional camera bump, this is the wrong sheet.

The rest of the hardware is a 2026 Android flagship: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, MagicOS 10 on Android 16, a 6.31-inch OLED at 1216 × 2640 with a 6800-nit peak, 12 GB + 512 GB or 16 GB + 1 TB, and a 7060 mAh Qinghai Lake battery with 120 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. Honor prices the two China trims at 9999 yuan and 12999 yuan. Our USD figure is an indicative conversion of the 12/512 trim, not a US store price — there is no US store price.

The camera array behind the gimbal story is a 200 MP main, a 200 MP periscope telephoto with 2.7× optical zoom, a 50 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP front camera. Honor is also selling an ARRI colour-science partnership. We list megapixels as announced. We do not claim cinema-camera equality.

Colours in China are Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray. Google Play availability on a China unit is not something we will invent; treat a China Honor flagship as a China software load until Honor says otherwise.

120 W wired charging is the China-announced peak. A matching brick is assumed in that market more often than in a later export SKU. We do not list a US wattage because there is no US SKU on this sheet.

A fit if you are in China for the 18 August sale, you want a motorised camera more than a foldable, and you can live with MagicOS. A poor fit if you needed a US, UK, or India launch — Honor has not named those countries for this model. Also a poor fit if you wanted a light phone: 248 g plus a moving camera is a specialist object.

Against a Pixel 11 Pro Fold, the jobs are opposite. The Pixel is a foldable with a confirmed multi-country Google Store list. The Robot Phone is a China-only slab with a moving camera. Do not cross-shop them on refresh rate alone.

Against a Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung has a worldwide retail network and a stylus. Honor has the gimbal and the 120 W charge in China. Warranty geography decides the purchase more than the megapixel column.

Against other Honor Magic flagships, this is the camera-mechanism special, not the default Magic for people who want a normal bump.
